As the nation now awaits the final decision by SCOTUS on these vaccine mandates, more states and cities are imposing their own versions of vaccine-or-mask mandates. In fact, just over the past week or two, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, and Chicago, have all announced new local vaccine mandates for consumers to enter restaurants, entertainment venues, fitness facilities and the like. In addition, New Orleans, Seattle, and San Francisco are also putting vaccine mandates in place for a variety of businesses. Los Angeles has had a vaccine mandate in place since November 29, and we would suspect that many others are awaiting the SCOTUS decision in the above consolidated cases. Furthermore, while New York Governor Hochul has implemented a statewide vaccinate or mask mandate for businesses, the states of Minnesota and Oregon have already adopted the OSHA ETS as the state mandate, with other states likely to follow suit.
