Living in LoCo is Erica Garman’s blog devoted to news about Loudoun County. You can find it at http://www.loudounextra.com. This column of highlights appears every Sunday in the Loudoun Extra.

As I was driving my children home from school and reached Truro Parish Road and Chickacoan Trail Drive in Broadlands, my mouth dropped open at the sight of the newly installed Dunkin’ Donuts-Baskin Robbins signs on the building that will house the popular chain.

Residents of Broadlands and the surrounding Brambleton and Ashburn communities have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the store for more than three years. We’ve been teased and let down several times with opening dates that came and went.

No word from the franchisee about when the store will finally open, but signs on the building are a good indicator that yummy doughnuts, delicious coffee and ice cream cones are coming soon, right?

After pressing my face to the glass, I saw that the menu above the ordering counter appears to have been installed and that coffeemakers have been positioned by the — get this — drive-through window! Oh, joy of joys!
