In an egregious display of pro-union bias, the National Labor Relations Board is seeking to force Starbucks to bargain at a stored that rejected organizing under the union! Back in December of last year when the unionizing effort began, employees at the Starbucks store in Hamburg outside of Buffalo voted 12-8 against unionizing the store under the Workers United union, but that wasn’t enough for the NLRB. Linda Leslie, a regional director for the agency, filed an amended complaint with an administrative law judge arguing that Starbucks’ actions opposing the union in the election were illegal and so ‘poisoned the well’ that even holding a new election wouldn’t right the wrongs. Instead, she argues that the union authorization cards allegedly signed by workers there are a better reflection of workers’ wishes. The pro-union bias of the Biden administration and the agencies it controls is so complete that it’s not even veiled anymore!
