obamacare-logo_fullAs the implementation of the Affordable Care Act continues, it appears to be encountering still more problems with its web page and acceptability with the American public – so much so that the administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Kathleen Tavenner, felt compelled to apologize to Congress for the seemingly endless problems with the website and its rollout.  She also addressed the fact that hundreds of thousands of Americans have received notices from their insurance company advising them that their coverage was cancelled and they should choose a new plan.  This contradicts the President’s promise on more than one occasion that “if you like your existing plan, you can keep your existing plan.”  Just this week in a speech in Boston, he charged the quote is being misinterpreted and misunderstood – that it didn’t mean what we thought it meant!  Sounds like the 2013 version of “it depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is!”
