The GoLocal news organization for Providence RI ran a small piece this week in which it proudly cited a study released by Clever Real Estate of the Best (and Worst) Coffee Cities in America. Providence, not far from the Dunkin’ headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts, was proud of coming in as the 5th best coffee city in the overall rankings. We thought it might be interesting to highlight some of the study findings. Milwaukee was the top coffee city followed by Portland Oregon, San Francisco and Buffalo NY. Boston came in at #6, just behind Providence. On the flip side, Virginia Beach was named the worst coffee city, followed by Memphis, Birmingham, Louisville and Las Vegas. As to pricing, the most expensive cappuccino can be found in that same Virgina Beach, while Portland Oregon and Seattle battle it out for the most coffee shops per capita in the nation at 27.2 and 27.1 respectively.
