The Press-Register reports that Jackson, Miss.-based Capital Franchise Group Inc., along with local franchise owner Frank LeFlore, opened their first Dunkin’ Donuts store in the Florida Panhandle-south Alabama market last week in Pensacola, the franchisees have announced.

LeFlore plans to open an unspecified number of additional Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the greater Mobile and Pensacola areas over the next several years, and a Mobile announcement is expected sometime in the next several months, according to Dunkin’ Donuts.

Capital Franchise Group, which consists of three Viking Range Corp. executives, announced in winter 2008 plans to open up to 40 restaurants in the Mobile and Pensacola markets in the next six years.

The group also plans to open 34 restaurants in Mississippi, though none on the Mississippi coast. A location in Greenwood, Miss., where Viking is based, has already opened.

A Dothan location opened last year, and a Birmingham store is slated to open Feb. 1, according to Dunkin’ Donuts.

Each store has about 30-40 full- and part-time employees.
