The Senate confirmation hearing on the nomination of CKE Restaurant CEO Andy Puzder as Secretary of Labor has been delayed again, and could be put off to as late as next month by the US Senate Committee on Health, Education Labor & Pensions (HELP). It’s been reported that the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) has yet to complete its review of his financial statements and other ethics disclosures. The further delay allows us the opportunity to visit the website set up by the International Franchise Association in support of the Puzder nomination and send letters of endorsement to the Senate on his behalf. Those letters of support and endorsement became that much more important after opponents of the businessman’s nomination created an opposition website they hope will derail the Senate confirmation. They likely have their work cut out for them however as Prior to his nomination, Puzder was serving as a survey released this week by minimumwage.com shows the overwhelming majority of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr’s employees very happy with the wages, benefits and overall job satisfaction was over 90%!
