With Donald Trump set to assume the office of the Presidency in just over 10 days, focus is shifting to the confirmation hearings in the US Senate for the president-elect’s cabinet nominees.  In that vein, the US Senate Committee on Health, Education Labor & Pensions (HELP) will hold a confirmation hearing on January 17 on the nomination of Andrew Puzder, CEO of CKE Restaurants, parent company of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr., as Labor Secretary.  Recall that we advised last week of a concerted effort by the International Franchise Association (IFA) to help smooth his confirmation and we again encourage readers to visit the IFA website within its Franchise Action Network (FAN) and send letters of endorsement to the United States Senate on behalf of Puzder.
