As much as Congress may be anxious to undo some of the more egregious regulatory mandates imposed last year by the Department of Labor, it seems that the aforementioned delays in the Puzder confirmation process are also delaying the repeal efforts – especially of the overtime rule that doubled the overtime threshold. According to a Bloomberg reporter, the new chairman of the House Subcommittee on Workforce Protections, Alabama Representative Bradley, has said that any plans to undo the rule are on hold until Puzder (or some other Labor Secretary nominee) is confirmed.
