The new general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, management side attorney Peter Robb, is wasting no time before sinking his teeth into the regulatory meat of the Obama administration labor record. General Counsel Robb, who replaced Richard Griffin when his term expired last month, issued a memo to staff on the first of this month, in which he outlined his view of the role of NLRB staff and further identified 7 specific memo from his predecessor that would be rescinded in addition to a number of “initiatives set out in Advice memoranda that are no longer in effect.” He went on to ask that staffers identify and “submit cases from the last eight years that have overruled precedent.”
