Although in the wake of all the minimum wage increases we’ve seen of late, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, many restauranteurs are now looking at eliminating tipping in their establishments and setting “all-inclusive” pricing in the future.  The New York Times published a lengthy article last week explaining the issue and the correlation between changes in tipping policies and increasing minimum wage mandates.  Laws governing tipping policies can vary widely from state to state, so we would caution you to get qualified legal advice before implementing any such policy changes.
