An effort by the AFL-CIO to place a petition to repeal the Missouri Right to Work law was dealt a severe blow this week when the Cole County Circuit Court ruled the petition was unfair and insufficient and hence, would be misleading to the voters of the Show Me state. The judge questioned the validity of signatures collected thus far and then rewrote the summary of the petition to make it abundantly clear to voters that they were being asked to negate a law that was already on the books.  Missouri union leaders have vowed to appeal the ruling and will continue to collect voter signatures during the appeal. The union will need 90,000 signatures to place it on the ballot.
