It has been in the works for a while now (Ring was first nominated back in January to fill the seat vacated by Phil Miscimarra), but the National Labor Relations Board is finally back to full strength with the confirmation of attorney John Ring. On a party line vote of 50-48, the Senate approved Ring for the NLRB post and thereby restored a 3-2 republican majority to the agency for the first time since Miscimarra left in December, leaving the board deadlocked at 2-2. Ring’s confirmation comes with the agency going through some turmoil as it undoes many of the anti-business regulations implemented under President Obama.
