On the lighter side, the success of the Dunkin’ marketing campaign for the past several years – America runs on Dunkin’ – is unquestionable. And if imitation is the greatest form of flattery as the old saying goes, then “the proof is in the pudding”. In the Virginia gubernatorial race where businessman and republican nominee Glenn Youngkin will take on former governor and democrat nominee Terry McAuliffe, a close friend advised me of a bumper sticker he saw with the campaign tag: “Virgina Runs on Youngkin!” And it was reported last week that the 9 rookies playing for the Miami Marlins were sent on a Dunkin run before the team’s Saturday game against the Cubs at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. And the Marlins won big (11-1)! So, not only does America run on Dunkin’, but apparently so too the state of Virginia and the Miami Marlins!
