Notwithstanding that there will be a new administration in place come January 20 and that President-elect Trump has proposed repealing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) when he takes office, businesses are still required to comply with the provisions of Obamacare until that time. Eligible small businesses looking to enroll their employees through the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) may do so by December 15 without meeting minimum participation rates.  Normally, businesses must meet a participation rate of 70% of employees to enroll in the SHOP Market, however as they did last year, SHOP has waived that minimum at year-end.  The waiver expires on December 16.
