As the US Senate begins taking procedural votes this morning leading to the possible confirmation of judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS), and the new sexual harassment training mandate takes effect in New York (effective on October 9), we want to forewarn our New Jersey members and subscribers that a similar mandate could be coming to the Garden State soon. Last week, the New Jersey legislature unanimously approved legislation mandating employers provide anti-sexual harassment training for all employees. The bill is now pending before Governor Phil Murphy, who we would expect will sign it soon.
