Aside from the Burger King buys Tim Horton’s news, we took note of a couple of other relevant stories this week . . . Starbucks announced that they will begin testing mobile coffee trucks this fall on three targeted college campuses. Arizona State University, James Madison University in Virginia and South Carolina’s Coastal Carolina University will each see a Starbucks truck on the campus over the next few weeks. Elsewhere, Kraft Foods Group has entered into a multi year agreement with Keurig Green Mountain whereby Kraft coffee products will become licensed Keurig Brands. The agreement includes Maxwell House, Gevalia, Yuban and McCafe. Under the terms of the agreement, licensed single-serve K-cups manufactured initially by Kraft will be available in supermarkets sometime this fall.
