Starbucks Corp. said it will give away 280,000 free pints of ice cream to Facebook users in the next two weeks.
The Seattle coffee giant (NASDAQ: SBUX) said it’s giving away the ice cream as part of National Ice Cream Month. Through July 19, registered Facebook users can sign up for a coupon redeemable for a free pint of any flavor of Starbucks ice cream. According to the website, up to 20,000 free coupons for pints of Starbucks ice cream will be given away every day through July 19 and quantities are limited to just over 800 pints per hour.
Last year, Starbucks signed a licensing agreement with Unilever plc to have the British food giant manufacture, market and distribute Starbucks ice cream products.
