BusinessWeek reports that Starbucks Corp. began selling USA Today in all its company-owned restaurants Monday, expanding the selection of newspapers available to customers.

USA Today, the flagship paper of Gannett Co., will be sold alongside the New York Times and a local newspaper in the 6,500 U.S. Starbucks cafes that are operated by the company instead of franchisees.

Starbucks shares were up a penny to $24.27 in afternoon trading Monday. Gannet shares rose a penny to $15.91.
