The Texas State Legislature does not want to see the NLRB redefine the role of a franchisor in the context of joint-employer status and is advancing legislation that will specifically exclude a franchisor from that category within the Lone Star State!  SB 652 was favorably reported out of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Economic Development by a vote of 9-1 on Tuesday after holding a public hearing on the bill Monday.  The legislation now moves on to consideration by the full Senate.
