Fearing that the Trump administration will abandon defense of the Obama error (oops, era) OSHA rule requiring employers to collect, maintain and self-report details on any and all injuries sustained by employees. The rule has been challenged by the National Association of Manufacturers and was vigorously defended by the Obama administration. Many speculate the defense will be dropped by the Trump administration. Notwithstanding, the entire effort may be for naught as the US House voted 231 – 191 this week to pass a Congressional Review Act joint resolution (HJ Resolution 83) disapproving the regulation. It still must pass the Senate and win the President’s signature.
